Stewardship Asset Management, LLC, exemplifies a genuine commitment to excellence in Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI).  Conceived and birthed in the heart of Jeff Rogers, the idea of using separate managed account portfolios screened for biblical values would bring momentum to a growing BRI movement.  JEFF ROGERS (see bio) was a pioneer and key thought leader in the “morally responsible” movement and recognized the need for something more than just clean mutual funds with mediocre returns. As a wealth manager, he understood his clients would need more comprehensive portfolios using separate account managers to obtain advantages not found in mutual funds. After doing extensive research, Jeff found that even though there were a few committed separate account managers using BRI screens, there were no platforms or portfolios in place using the BRI screening process. 

In December 2004, Jeff convened a meeting with other key “thought leaders” in the BRI movement.  After much discussion, Jeff decided to pick up the baton and find someone to build a BRI platform.  He believed he would find a viable platform already in place that could be customized using the screen overlays offered through the Biblically Responsible Investing Institute (BRII).

After working to find a solution for over a year, JEFF was counseled by friends and colleagues to take his idea and create the platform himself. After much prayer, JEFF decided to move forward but he would need help.  JEFF’s first call was to Dann Harris (see bio), long time business and spiritual mentor, who serves as SAMs Chief Executive Officer (CEO).  Through God’s providence, Dann’s good friend, Michael Winkle (see bio), one of the nation’s leading market strategist, would become the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In 2006, Stewardship Asset Management, LLC was created and from our understanding, the first multi-manager, biblically responsible separate account asset allocation platform was born. It would take another year and a half and hundreds of research hours to find investment managers, a back office TAMP provider and build the SAM platform. Never losing sight of a commitment to excellence, Stewardship Asset Management launched its first portfolios in 2008.

  H. Dann Harris
Chief Executive Officer

Dann has over 40 years of management experience. He has served as a Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for two financial services organizations and spent several years as a personal producer. In addition to his responsibilities as the Chief Executive Officer of Stewardship Asset Management, LLC., Dann consults with and coaches business owners and executives of small and medium sized companies. He also consults large churches in staff recruiting and streamlining for growth. Dann is an ordained pastor and has helped start two churches. In addition to having served on several Boards of Directors, both secular and Christian, he and his wife Susie have helped many families through their marriage mentoring ministry.
  Michael Winkle CFA®
Chief Investment Officer

Michael A. Winkle CFA, MBA is the founder of Market Trend Investors, Inc. (MTI). Since 1984, Market Trend Investors, has served as a consulting firm to large institutions focusing on market strategy, industry group analysis, with an emphasis toward important changes in market leadership.  Michael graduated with his MBA from the University of Missouri. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research and a member of the CFA Institute.

Chief Inspiration Officer

Jeff Rogers, CEP®, CKA®, is the founder and managing partner of Stewardship Advisory Group, one of the leading wealth management and estate planning organizations committed to integrating Biblical Stewardship in its counsel to clients.  Jeff is a Charter Member of Kingdom Advisors, and Qualified Kingdom Advisor. In addition to his Leadership responsibilities as the Chief Inspiration Officer (CIO) for Stewardship Asset Management, LLC., Jeff serves as the Chairman of the Board of Stewardship Legacy Coaching, LLC. where he assists financially-blessed families and business owners in building thriving family legacies and become more generous givers to God's Kingdom. Jeff is also very involved in serving the Lord through a number of ministries, including World Help, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Compass-Finances God's way, Campus Crusade for Christ, and others.
  Greg Smith CFA®
Vice President

Greg has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry in diverse roles within sales, marketing, compliance, operations, research and executive management. Recently, he was Vice President of Strategic Business Development for TIAA-Cref Life Insurance Company and previously functioned as President of a registered broker/dealer and investment advisor for ten years. He is Founder & Principal of The Immersion Group, a boutique consulting and business creation firm. Greg enjoys leading mission teams to Latin America, having grown up in Chile and Brazil. In addition to being a Financial Advisor, Greg is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.
  Cindy Best
Director of Business Development

Cindy Best has been working in the financial investment arena for the last 20 years in several capacities; back office administrative assistant, client services manager, and executive assistant to the VP of Broker Relations for a morally responsible mutual fund. Cindy sees her role as “telling the story” of SAM to financial advisors nationwide and assisting them in developing their BRI business.  Cindy is married to Tom, a retired Lt. Col (USAF).  They have five children, four of which have served or are serving in the armed services.  Cindy is also blessed with seven grandchildren. Cindy has been involved in a number of ministries; Pregnancy Resources, First Defense, and the American Evangelistic Association.  Tom and Cindy also support several missionaries in various parts of the world.
